ahebron
Evening Can someone please tell me the thickness of the cork gasket that is fitted to the 6 screw fuel tank sender on a Vitesse 6? Thanks Adrian
johny
Not sure about the original gaskets as I found em pretty useless so made one from 2mm rubber sheet using a paper hole punch for the screw holes...
Pete Lewis
i would have suggested cork as around 2mm reckon johny's idea is better apart from the distances involved 110777 is 55p https://www.canleyclassics.com/?catalogue=triumph-herald-1200&diagram=triumph-herald-1200-radiator-exhaust-system-and-petrol-system Pete
dougbgt6
Maybe we've found a purpose for those extra thick Stromberg elephant condom diaphragms! Doug
Colin Lindsay
I'm assuming the elephants don't want them, then?
johny
No, we need more elephants!
Colin Lindsay
"An elephant dies every 26 minutes..." Sounds like carbs flooding.
ahebron
Another job ticked off the list. I found a piece of nitrile rubber (well it has nitrile written on it) in the spares dept and it is 2.7mm thick. Two hole saws, a wad punch and the job is done. Sender is now in the tank.
