Vitesse 1600/6 Ignition Switch

Hi!  My Lucas Ignition Switch has had its last days!  There is a Non Lucas replacement 127651 for £11 at Canleys!  Are these replacements any good?

Canleys usually good. I would happily buy from them.

Re Lucas, they don't make anything, and haven't for some years. OK, they make boxes, and their business model is essentially to sell empty boxes that suppliers can put whatever they like in. So no guarantee of quality. (the proper Lucas stuff is on orange boxes/packaging, which is good stuff)

They're all very simple, you can buy them in your local Autofactors for a fiver, although the key can be very different to the original. This one is a Lucas copy, £11.50, free postage and no VAT.

I have the barrel and keys, was hoping I might be able to just change them over? as the main unit is knackered!

My barrel was worn so I got this one of Ebay. Only problem was I could not get the brass pin to seat properly without a lot of "jiggling" 

It's settled now though.

Wish I had spotted the one Colin saw. It is a good price for the whole cabudel
