Johno
The 5" foam heater gasket and four foam pipe gaskets that sit between the heater and the bulkhead on a spiitfire are £15 or thereabouts. Does anyone know the material in order that a small sheet can be bought to make some. Alternative "polite" suggestions welcome. Johno
PeteH
I`v often wondered about the Packing sheets that sometimes come with electronic equipment, Its about 8 to 10mm thick.? Pete
Colin Lindsay
Check out the cheap yoga mats in various outlets, including Tescos; they come in a range of thicknesses, are usually rubbery / foam waterproof stuff, and can be cut to shape quite easily. You can make a lot of gaskets from just one.
Badwolf
Would the camping mat foam which is a closed cell waterproof type product work?
NonMember
Probably. You can also get closed-cell foam with a self-adhesive side from eBay, in various thicknesses.
