Coloured door aperture seals

I'm not going for bling on the 13/60 but like the idea of beige / light tan trim on the door apertures rather than just black. I've just priced one of the main suppliers who come up at almost £100 a pair. 

Surely someone can do better than that? Any ideas?

Just be aware that the original seals where a 'U' Section not the normal 'O' Section supplied by most of the usual suppliers?

You may experience door shut trouble with the 'O' Type

This one from Woolies is a similar shape to the Original but only in Black by the looks of it.

Gary - the seal currently fitted is a bubble seal, and although a fresh uncompressed version may cause problems (already had the door fly open on one bend, but that was my fault and no less scary!) I think the early flap seal may be too narrow; I have some in black already, bought years ago from Bill Davies, but might just experiment with coloured if available. I'd like to try the coloured, if for no other reason to draw the eye away from all the other faults...

I'm still open to any suggestions re different profiles of seal that anyone has found to suit; I've found some lovely looking dark brown from Stags that appeals colour-wise but I can't make out the profile.

It's just making a decision about what and from whom. I used to be indecisive, these days I'm just not sure.

Hi Colin,

Sorry I don't remember the company but there was a recent post on here about seals and door seals.

They supplied the correct door seals ie, I  think they may be the ones similar to the ones that Bill Davies sold that were not oversized enabling the door to to close correctly.

I have the beige ones from Rimmers which are good quality but slightly oversized.

I am sure the OEM supplier of Furflex seals is still going, near London ISTR.

I was looking for Cactus ones a few years ago, didn't follow it up.

I thought the closed round  cell type seal was to be avoided as it caused the door not to close properly, and the lip/flap type seal was preferred ie ETS60 or ETS4060FC, can you get the lip/flap type with Furflex covering.

I have the round seal on my 13/60 and the doors shut perfectly in line with the wings, but it's been on quite a few years so has softened and assumed a better profile than new. There are dozens of suppliers of seals, not all of the bubble seals are the same size in fact some look quite a bit smaller than others but as yet I've not found a coloured 'lip' seal as opposed to bubble, so can't make the decision with complete confidence just yet. I've already had some great ideas from the posts here but 'the' definitive solution hasn't popped up yet.
