Spitfire Front Valance Trim

I’ve fitted fibreglass front valances to my 1977 Spitfire, the only problem I have is the top, where the rubber seal clips on is much wider and doesn’t take the standard rubber trim. Is there an alternative trim which will fit?

Black Cat - Are these the quarter valances at each side, and are you saying that this is the lip where the front and back sections join? If so will it not just cut down with a hacksaw to reduce the height of the lip or is it that the front to back thickness is too much?

I suspect he means the thickness. The ones on my GT6 are probably three times thicker than they should be and I gave up trying to fit the rubber seal.

I do have a pair of fibreglass quarters in the shed. Will dig them out and have a look.

Yes it the thickness of the top lip, the designed ones which you can get from Rimmer's & Moss and other good quality suppliers just don't fit on the thicker lip.
