  1. I did the same with my Vitesse though chose Gaz shocks as it was part of the deal which the club shop offered . If standard shocks were offered I would have chosen them as currently the shocks are on level 2 any higher the rear end bounces all over the place . A worthwhile upgrade with the donuts supplied by Canleys
  2. Should have added I would return headlining after use Paul
  3. I thought the description said it would fit spit and gt6 Paul

  6. Hi Pete I’ve bought some from you and it’s quality . I made a new headlining for the sunroof for my Vitesse and to keep the Vitesse on the road looking for scrap headlining for a template Paul
  7. When I bought mine from the Club Shop they looked the same as original ie Matt finish . Is there a way of telling they are silicone ? Purchased them at Duxford a couple of years ago Paul
  8. Anybody got a scrap / damaged headlining that could be used as a template for a Herald / Vitesse ? Paul
  9. Is there a Trico model for the Herald/Vitesse or will B6 fit ? Paul
  10. I’m with Peter James paying a similar amount for my Vitesse . It’s the agreed value and salvage retention which is important to me Paul
  11. I’ve seen good reports for Rustbuster 2pack epoxy mastic . The nearest colour being Royal Blue https://www.rust.co.uk/product/cat/em121-epoxy-rust-proofing-paint/ Paul
  12. I purchased a NOS Roof for my Vitesse some time ago as part of a long term rebuild . Started cleaning the roof today and the surface rust is cleaning up nicely . My Vitesse has a sunroof as does the NOS roof. Once done it’s Rustbuster FE-124 Rust Converter then a few coats of HB Body 989 2pack Epoxy Primer. The roof still has the strength bar in the rear window to keep the roof rigid in storage . The remains of the Stanpart Label Paul
  13. I’ll send a pic tomorrow Paul

    Sump plug leak

I had the same issue and reverted back to the tapered plug Paul
  17. Hi Steve , so it’s a case of levering out the horn push in situ ? Paul
  18. I need to replace the pencil horn push and realign the Triumph logo . Can’t remember if the horn push assembly can be removed without removing the steering wheel ? It’s not the standard boss . Paul
  19. As a follow on the pistons are different on the Girling and TB3 so Girling rubbers won’t fit . The pics below show the end rubbers and the Girling seems more substantial which supports the theory my issues could have been rubber seepage . Whilst the piston had corrosion there was corrosion in all of the piston cylinder . Just bought 2 Girling NOS Brake Cylinders for £15 each Paul
  20. Thanks Trigolf , I didn’t realise CV shafts don’t need the additional bracket Paul
  21. I have converted my Vitesse mk2 to vertical shocks using the kit from the Club Shop . The hardest part for me was fitting the top brackets which go between the body shell and the chassis so you need to have to undo the chassis bolts and Jack up the body which in most cases will be very difficult . I did manage to raise the body but not enough so the brackets needed drifting in . I’ve stayed with doughnuts purchased from Canleys and so far ok Paul
  22. Is the red rubber grease ok with silicone Paul
  23. My thoughts Steve , mine were repros so replacing with NOS Girling Paul
  24. The corrosion was throughout and now scrap . This is the state of the cylinder Paul
