  1. You can say that again! Sometimes I log in and it gives me limited access without contact details, at other times I log in and it gives me full access including contact details.
  2. Thought I had logged in but not sure now. Checked again and contact telephone numbers have now appeared.
  3. I am a club member and signed in but all I get presented with is a form to submit a message but no contact details - all very cumbersome and long-winded imho.
  4. If I can drag this back to the original topic regarding Sales Ads. Once you have managed to find the online ads - why do you have to "contact the club" rather than the advertiser when responding to an ad ? How does this work ?
  5. I hope that your shocks fit. When I fitted the brackets to my early Mk 3 my existing shocks were too long so I had to buy shorter shocks to fit. Nick
  6. Probably put it away when petrol reached 4/10d per gallon
  7. That is what I used - lower wishbone shims.
  8. Yes, I had to add shims to my GT6 mounts as the edge of the sump was wearing away against the steering rack.
  9. Hi and welcome. Great looking special you have there.
  10. Gully, I bought the spare carbs some time ago cheaply on ebay. They were not originally from a GT6 Mk3 but they were the same basic version as mine so I had them refurbed and rebuilt with the correct needle/jet/spring spec for my engine. I have another pair of new old stock GT6 Mk3 carbs but they are to Swedish/US spec with slight variations to the UK spec. Nick.
  11. You are not THE Lord Emsworth are you .... ?
  12. Yes Pete. Dare I risk using them to replace the ones currently on the car which are performing reasonably well at the moment ? Nick
  13. Finally collected my CD150SE Strombergs from the Carburettor Exchange on Friday, they now look quite tidy:
  14. Details in the TSSC classifieds https://www.tssc.org.uk/tssc/classifieds_final.asp?classified_ID=3250
  15. Burlen Services are a great source for info and parts for SU carbs: http://burlen.co.uk/su-catalogue-and-workshop-manual.html
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum. Ken, a TSSC member, has this GT6 Mk2 for sale if he did not sell it yesterday!
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum. They are SU carbs, very common on British cars. Unscrew the black caps on top and lift them out with the small pistons attached and add a small amount of engine oil down the exposed tubes and then replace the pistons and caps. The pistons and oil acts as damper when accelerating to avoid the mixture becoming too weak.
