GT6 o/d propshaft now fitted with one spacer. Sliding extension is out about two thirds.
We shall see in about a years time when I have finished.......
Thanks Pete, if I get problems, I will have to get some special spacers turned up on a lathe. As it is, I will be using cut down gear box output shaft flanges. ( I seem to have a few in my hoard...)
Autoprop? I thought they had closed down? I used them in the past and was not very impressed, operating out of a dirty agricultural building and a balance weight falling off after a few miles.
The rebuild of my J.C.Midge is progressing and has got to the stage of joining up the gear box and diff... I need to source a Vitesse sliding type propshaft and then get it shortened down to 36 1/2"
Can anyone recommend a company that would shorten and balance a shaft? Needs to be in the South East... (Has anyone got a propshaft they want to sell?)
I worked for a car rental company at Gatwick Airport some years ago. A customer returned a car during the winter and wasn't too pleased to be charged for damages.... He had defrosted ALL the windows with a BRICK....
Gone!
It took me by surprise when I ventured out to replace my old pot of Castrol LM , nowhere to be found. Halfrauds didn't even have any general purpose grease.....
I've had to order a tub of Granville multi purpose online...
Another vote for a volt meter... Noticed last week that there was a discharge showing when lights and heater blower on, substituted a spare alternator... Sorted.
