The easiest way is screen washer tubing. Heat the end of the tubing with a lighter then pull it apart to stretch it and make it thinner. while tubing is still warm insert the pin. When it cools down it holds the pin firmly. You can then put the pin in the hole. to remove tubing pull down at 90 degrees when the pin is trapped by the winder. You can then push the pin fully home with a screw screw driver.
Works every time and no more searching for pins that have pinged to god knows where...... Try it you will be surprised how easy it is.

BTW Tony - I got the magnetic sheet so it will be bonded to the number plate using windscreen bond, and will probably never come off after that.
Thats great Colin, make sure you wipe the magnet side if you drop it, they tend to pick up tiny bits of metal if dropped on a garage floor.

It wont fly off Colin, I used to have my trade plates done with it, as i was fed up with plod pulling me over if one had dropped down on the parcel shelf and never lost one. you could put a bit of silicon or tiger seal on the sticky side just to be sure.

Solution for your number plate Colin, If you stick it on it will pull the paint off. This stuff is great and people use it for signs, loads of sizes on fleabay, so just stick it to your number plate

You can get other family members into your Triumph? Mine flatly refuse. Too noisy, too dangerous, doesn't stop as well, doesn't drive as comfortably...
I have the same response from my other half now Colin... I class it as a bonus.
I don't know if it's my imagination? But a lot of the whining has stopped as well, thought i was needing a new diff..........

Brakes are quite important - honest
Roger
You wouldn't think so Roger..... When i had my garage a customer came in for his brakes to be checked. Checked they were and price given. He then said can you not cock them up i don't want to spend money on it.... "It's only for the wife to take the kids to school" I kid you not, i was lost for words................

Taiwan used to be how China is now Peter, probably around 30+ years ago. But as you say they have upped their game like Korea and Japan. The sooner China realise how much of their stuff is rubbish the better. I do think everything should come with a country of manufacture stamp on it..... We then have a choice what we buy.

Hi Sam, i have replaced one on my Dolly that was seized solid with QH ones. I bought 2 as i thought the other side might need doing. I havn't had any problems so far (12mths) but i did pack the boots with red rubber grease. Strangely there was no corrosion on or in the other cylinder. They do look well made and nothing say it was a chinky.

It is weird stuff and has loads of use's, if you stick two pieces back to back it will stick to any dash panel to hold screws and small bulbs etc and you can cut it to any size you need
