  1. Ha ! Except we have bought a 13/60 for my sons first car and he will want to carry a kayak ! He could carry a playboat on the bootrack !
  2. In the mid 80s i recall a friend having a surfboard carrier for his spit. Two frames that attached across bonnet and boot attached to wheelarches. Anyone else remember these ?
  3. My gt4s needs the rear alignment sorted. Have found a garage prepared to do it but i need the specs. Can anyone help. ?
  4. Dynamat had a ( poorly sited ) stand at the TSSC international. They were kitting out a vitesse......Good guys with a great product. Bought a kit of extreme. . its a bit weighty, but of good quality. ( although I am still yet to fit it!) best bet is to ring them and have a chat. Or Ring Garth at hq and get his views.
  5. and of course ensure the inside of the door is waxoiled and the drains clear. no pics sorry.
  6. They didnt want a website for this very reason. If you want four candles (sic) they are the ideal supplier!
  7. I assume that the water is getting past the seal between door and glass. Inside the door there should be a poly sheet hanging below the glass. this directs the water to the bottom of the door. you can also fit a poly sheet and gaffer tape the inside of the door before attaching the cards which helps.
  8. Part of TDF s charm is its strength and its weakness. If you go to the counter and ask for a giggling flitch pin, they will respond with " Oh you want a 2134376y. just a tick. and return in a few minutes with the right part.In stock. The warehouse is huge ! The receipt will be hand written. I love ordering on the web, but TDF is a breath of fresh air. Might go tomorrow.......
  9. wondered whether to mount it on the engine valance . Should be quieter! any thoughts?
  10. not fully read it yet , but thought the same
  11. thought the same, but love it
  12. How odd. I think they exclude vat on the site. However I use them as they are usually the cheapest! Best to ring them or call in.
  13. likely to be worn spindle gears (wiper boxes). or wrong ones fitted. My Bond had this problem . I changed the gear cog in the motor which helped and replaced the boxes for good used ones. Not now perfect, but better.
  14. syncro was first used on the mkiv spit. All heralds have no syncro on first. It is however a worthwhile upgrade and Fitchetts will sell you a box. Did id twenty five yrs ago and never looked back
  15. doddle to remove. My Delaney in the Herald is excellent. However the Smiths in the Bond is pretty grim. The Motor is noisy ( But only when in the unit...) but the main problem is that when the PO repaired the chamber , he didnt make a good job of it so the heater doesnt seal well against it.
  16. I have ordered a cheapo one as an experiment . TBH I will probably stick a mechanical pump on in the future , but want to try it out. I have also bought a bulb type pump to prime the carbs ( as fitted on many modern diesels) better than a mouth full of petrol!
  17. My sons hersld is a late j reg so guessing they used whatever was vlose to hand !
  18. Tempted to at least paint them silver ! Bought some "chrome" ones once that were simply silver painted.
  19. theres a gt4s body shell too , on ebay
  20. looks like the 13/60 reverse switch on my sons..... #
  21. The MX5s certainly work well. I found that they needed lifting 30mm to be comfy. I Used some hardwood. The fitted seatbelt reciever is also a perfect match for my inertia belts. What colour are the originals and where are you. Could use some black 13/60s
  22. Had a 6 gallon tank for yrs. a few yrs ago put a 9 in. tbh its more convenient, but not that much. When I used the car as a daily driver up and down to london, I would have felt the benefit. Used to have to refuel en route as its safe range was about 150 and I needed 180!
