  1. Best use a pro gun. The small diy types can jump when the rivet snaps.
  2. If its all in good nick preserve. I love upgrades but not just because you can. Electronic ignition and alternator is a good idea as easily reversed.
  3. I have no specs to work to. Tried unladen. Its the off centre that puzzles me. No lean. Will measure shafts. Thanks.
  4. My GT4s has always been a bit lairy on corners ( as experienced at Donington last yr! ) I know the chassis has its inherited failings, but my 1200 corners so much better. Armed with some shims I decided to check the rear tracking. I laid a 10 ft length of timber alongside the tyres , propped up 6 inches , and measured. The wheels are within 2 to 3 mm parallel . I then slid the timber forward alongside the front wheels. On the n/s it remained reasonably parallel to the rear. On the O/S it showed around 12mm gap at the front of the rear tyre. Now I always assumed the wheels were in line! I guess one of my driveshafts is shorter? Or? ideas .....

    MOT

Most modern mot bays are fairly hopeless when it comes to classics. That said my local Halfords manager is more understanding and considerate than the so called classic car enthudiast that I used last yr !

  14. Good question. I too have a cobble up ! Jugsaw did offer to sort it for a fair price but its not that big a stress. I have a standard 1500 manifold and then a 1500 pipe cut down. And an adapter pipe to the standard silencer.
  15. No idea ,as I only show very casually. ! I guess the club finds a register a quick method of finding people willing to show.
