Hello Martin Just a consideration of jacking up on the body mounting bolt, the front ones are on the front arms. I have found that over the years these buckle as at this point the arm is just a single channel. I prefer to lift my cars where these arms join the the main centre rails. Just my preference, others may disagree but I just work with axle stands. I have wondered by these lifts but the cost seem high for the expected usage but let's us know how they perform when you use one. Graham

Hello Does anyone know the size and length of the bolts which attach the engine mounting to the chassis on a GT6, my bolts are smaller than the hole and use standard nuts not nylon nuts? Thanks for your help. Graham

From memory the flaps should open fully, so add some oil and work them , you may have to undo the stiff wire clamp that joins them. This will enable you to work them separately. Graham

Am I correct that this control operates the flaps in the heater, if So the the cable is attached to one flap and the other is moved via a stiff wire connecting the two flaps. Have you checked the flaps move freely and not got stuck due to corrosion on the pivots.Graham Graham

If you wish to continue removing the sensor when removed, stand it in boiling water and connect multi meter to the terminal and housing. This will just confirm if the sensor was working or not and if not then you still have a problem. Good luck. Graham

Hello Dave Can suggest you stop removing the sender and test it. The sender is a very simple device, two thermocouple disc at the bottom of the brass housing held in place with a spring connected to the terminal which is isolated from the housing by a a plastic insert. You should be able too apply heat to the sender, less than 87c and with a multi meter attached to the terminal and the negative to the engine a DC voltage should be read. Hopefully this will confirm if the sender is working or not. If working then the problem is elsewhere. Graham

I assume the problem was not present when you changed your tyres, then I would have thought the problem was the result of the new tyre. Is there anything obvious wrong with the tyre, have you considered swooping the tyres over to see if the noise moves with tyre? This would either confirm tyre problem or wheel assembly problem? If tyre problem and nothing can be seen on tyre, then have the balancing re checked. Graham
