Paint damage from cover

Car cover has been on for a week, pulled it off today to see this damage…I don’t like to leave the cover on for this reason but as it was left somewhere Away from home I don’t like to expose it too much. Anyway moisture must’ve gotten under it. reckon this could be fixed with some cutting compound?

Is it 2 pack or cellulose ?

Try clay bar and a good polish before going for cutting compound. I had a less extreme version of water markings on my Herald boot lid, which is still in cellulose, from a similar cause. They came out fine without resorting to anything too heavy.

I have no idea if it’s cellulose unfortunately, polish made it a tiny bit better but not much. In fact even a bit of g3 compound doesn’t seem to be fixing it

Resorting to sand paper to fix it. Seems a shame to have to as the paint is really on its last legs but rather have some chips than a big water mark!

If the paint marks the polishing cloth it’s celly

try some quite gentle warming with a hair drier or park in the sun  this can sometimes dry out the moisture in the paint

My, used fairly regularly car, has been under a cover for past 9 year (as parked on the street). Never any of that sort of problem.

Can I assume/likely, it was repainted at some time, with two pack?

I had the same on my Spit when under a cover for two weeks when working on the garage. I used an hair dryer which helped but leaving out in the sun worked and all the marks have gone.
