ludwig113
Hi, Has anyone used Autosparks for a full wiring loom (gt6 mk3) and if so, how was it? Is it worth going this route rather than just buying a loom off one of the usual suppliers as you can add circuits such as an accessory socket etc cheers paul
NonMember
Not for a GT6 but I bought a full wiring loom for my Mk3 Spitfire from them. I specified a few minor additions (headlight relays, electric fan, electric fuel pump with inertia switch). It fitted nicely and works great.
DJB350Z
Sorry to hijack your thread, but as I might need to consider this myself at some point who are the other suppliers, and why would you not consider them? Is it just a cost thing?

I assumed from the context that ludwig meant you could buy a standard loom from, say, Rimmers or Canley or Fitchetts, but if you want any customization you'd have to do it yourself (and thus spoil the brand new loom). Buying from Autosparks, you can specify modifications, which they will incorporate "to factory quality".
DJB350Z
Ah yes, thought he meant that the usual suppliers would do the modifications as well. Got it.
Nigel Clark
I suspect the usual suppliers source their looms from Autosparks, so one may as well go to the source. Nigel
Colin Lindsay
I bought three looms from Autosparks over the years, never had a problem. The only thing I ever had to query was that in the Herald loom the purple wire for the passenger door courtesy light switch was about four feet long, twice as long as it needed to be.
