I was looking at the Mk2 Vitesse BHA5138 Interior Tunnel Lamp to fit over the hole under the dash?? Colin Lindsay Posted July 21, 2023 Report Share Posted July 21, 2023 Avoid this, an eBay offering: Fits using the same three cables, seems ok, but went on fire the first time I used the manual slide switch. Almost melted holes in my new carpets. It looks the same as others which are MG interior courtesy lights but these are very very poor quality. johny Posted July 21, 2023 Report Share Posted July 21, 2023 I really think its going to be difficult to find a small enough modern replacement as the original actually fits in the dash surround so as to not protrude and interfere with the dash switches... I wired it as per the old one, although the location was moved - it lit when the doors opened but as soon as I slid the switch, it just burst into flames and melted. Could have had a "Full Facia Light Assy" for £25! but decided to have the lower Light fitting with switch and light for £15! Also som bits and Bobs Well Happy!
