SpitfireGeorge
Hi Guys, My garage roof drips condensation on to my car in this sort of weather. Would it do any damage, namely rust, to use a car cover to keep my car dry and then remove it to allow ventilation when it is not cold? Cheers, Brett
Stratton Jimmer
Better quality covers are "breathable" which means that you wouldn't have to remove it for ventilation. I suggest that you look for that feature when you purchase one. Better dry than wet!
PeteH
If you can devise some method of cover which does not actually rest on the car and allows ventilation you should reduce any risk to a minimum. Perhaps draped over a couple of battens suspended from the beams?. Pete

Pete +1 for that; in a small garage stringing ropes or wires across from wall to wall, then draping a cover over those, stops things dripping off the roof whilst keeping any potentially abrasive material up off the bodywork. johny
yes I would say maximise ventillation of the garage as well because the air in there becomes warm and moist during the day and then when the roof cools at night condensation is produced. Either that or seal the garage really well and keep a dehumidifier in there...
Graham C
I had a steel roof on a sectional garage and attach plastic sheeting to the roof supports. Left a gap for ventilation. Graham
