Tipidave Posted Friday at 15:17 Report Share Posted Friday at 15:17 (edited) Hi again all… I am looking for a new 10 spline 6 1/2 diaphragm clutch to mate to a herald 1200 flywheel and spitfire 3 rail gearbox. Prices for a 3 part kit seem to range from £70 to £200 depending upon brand… I only want to do this once, don’t want to skimp but equally don’t want to waste money. What are the differences? Can anyone advise the most appropriate solution? The car is not driven hard and will be doing maybe 3000 miles a year. thanks again in anticipation of your collective wisdom Edited Friday at 15:19 by Tipidave Picture
daverclasper Posted Friday at 16:25 Report Share Posted Friday at 16:25 Hi. I don't know about different brands, though, I normally use Canley Classics, as are dedicated Triumph buffs. I have also had good experience generally of James Paddock, both of these I have found have good prices . Others may be ok, though I have ltd knowledge. Paul H Posted Friday at 16:52 Report Share Posted Friday at 16:52 Another vote for Canleys . Purchased a new clutch setup for my Vitesse and price was about £70 and just over 2 years ago . Paul

Colin Lindsay
Go for the best you can identify, not necessarily by price but by reputation. It's not a job you want to be repeating too soon, and cheaper copy clutches will wear amazingly quickly, so you'll want one that will last.
