Triumph948
TheTssc will no longer be a member of the Msa Motor Sport Association from the 1st of March 2017 . This decision has been taken by the council of management as the Tssc no longer run a race series or do competitive track or road events as a club. Should anyone want to discuss the decision with me do not hesitate to contact me at Chairman@Tssc.org.uk Thanks Chris Gunby Tssc Chairman
JohnD
Will the Club then become the Triumph Six Club? It has not been involved with motor sport for many years, but this removes even the possibility for the future. What justification is there to include the word "Sport" in the title any more? juppy
John, As far as I know the word Sport in the clubs name is from the name given to the 1600cc Vitesse when it was sold in America when first launched (Sports 6) therefore as the Vitesse is one of the founding models of the club it is as relevant as it has always been.
JohnD
Well, it's a good reason for me to review my need to be a member any more. John
dougbgt6
Presumably this is a cost saving measure? How much are we saving?
Clive
It probably has some other "advantages" to do with certain events organised by the club not having to comply and be approved by the MSA?
Triumph948
Clive has hit the nail on the head Msa club membership is less than £100 per annum So we are not doing it for the money It will make events easier to organise with Ao's and event organisers not having to get exemption certificates for everything they do . Our public liability insurance already covers static shows etc and as we no longer do motor sport events we as a commitee feel it is the right thing for the club. Should you organise a road trip your own car insurance will cover you. After extensive talks with our insurance company and the Msa this is the correct way to move the club forward. Personal Msa membership is avalible to any one wishing to take it up for less than £100 This also means that should we decide to go back into a race series etc that we can re join at the right time for the club . Hopefully John D Garth has answered your question about us being called the Tssc and that it is called the sports 6 from the American Vitesse name . Also this has been announced on the club forum before any where else as we have listened to your previous comments

I assume that the guidance for Area Organisers for organising events etc will be updated to take account of no longer having to apply to the MSA and parting with area cash before organising an event. In light of the MSA rule changes in the last few years, have you any idea how many other Clubs are following the same route.
Triumph948
Hi Kevin The area organiser guidance will be updated, I do not know if any other clubs are looking at going down this route with the Msa ,the Com need to do what is right for OUR club. We have put a lot of time into this decision and hopefully will make life easier for everyone.
