Burning oil?

Well you have to consider the age of some of the owners. In my case I ran Triumphs all the year round since 1965 until recently and must have done many 100k miles in that trime. But age is starting to catch up, hence reducing the mileage. There are a number of owners in the same situation.

Mind you I wouldn't mind another 13/60 Herald Saloon as a run about!

Whats polish ???

Takes me back to the 60s when you worked  your  butt off polishing  with One Step hard wax to get some pocket money

I think thats why I have an aversion to concourse show and shine etc.....its a car not the best silver

A wash and a leather off is my limit..   or let the Poles have a squirt

Looks like normal vapour on a cold day especially as there appears to be a gap between the end of the pipe and the plume which I wouldnt expect if it was smoke....

Its condensation, cold day and cold engine. The engine uses half a pint in 4k miles.

Leather off? Don’t think I’ve even done that to any of my cars in 35+ years of motoring.

They get washed once a year if they need it or not.

One a year, you spoil them. Is that like changing the car when the ashtrays are full (in my case with receipts and toffee wrappers!)
