Paul H
Smoked salmon packaging . The base is a dense cardboard type material plus a layer of foil . There is also a thin plastic layer which can easily be peeled off. Could this be used for hard to find / expensive / temporary gaskets ? dougbgt6
You won't get rid of the smell on the packaging just by eating the salmon, just wait till the engine warms it up! Doug
Pete Lewis
Some of us can only afford a cornflakes packet Pete
Clive
BUT gasket paper in all sorts of thicknesses is easily available. But the cornflake packet is always handy...
dave.vitesse
Beer mats can also be used for small gaskets. Beer, cornflakes and salmon, now there's combination! I can remember some of the local taxis running on used processed fish and chip oil. What a pong, had all the local cats following them for miles. Colin Lindsay
Beer mats +1 and for thicker foam gaskets use cheap exercise mats; I'd avoid the more lurid colours of pink or purple but black or charcoal grey works well.
