Vitesse 1600 exhaust

Happy B day Doug.  Most of time I get, " Ah, a herald", I used to mutter back through gritted teeth, " Actually, it's a Vitesse". Can't be arsed to reply these days.

I get the "oh, a Herald" too, along with the GT6 being called an MGB or, occasionally, a Spitfire. The Spitfire itself is the most likely to get a "what's that?", being a Mk3 with (at the moment) no badges on the boot.

Thanks for all the replies and advice. I have been a looked/listened to another members car that has a standard stainless exhaust and that has a noticeably crisper sound than my original mild steel one, so that is what I have decided to go for.

I think that the semi sport might be too noisy on a longer trip.

I have the standard SS on Vit. A bit back I cruised past a mate who had broken down at a duel carriageway lay bye (though I didn't notice him), later he said the car sounded brill.
