petegardner_901
Sorry - really daft question but I can't see the answer... I am refitting the door trim panels on the GT6- but where does the window winder spring go (the coil spring) - does it fit behind the trim panel or is it between the winder handle and the trim - outside the trim panel?? RogerH
TRiumph normally put it between the card and the handle escutcheon. Other wise the escutcheon will wear a mark into the door card Vinyl. Spring big diameter on the card That is the case for all TR4/4A/5/6. Roger
Badwolf
I thought that the spring went between the door panel and the card. poppyman
The spring does go behind the door card as BW says. Tony.
Pete Lewis
the trouble here is part manual scheme illustrations show exploded views and not in the fitted sequence the answer is you dont want a big sprung gap between escutcheon and the door card the spring keeps the card and escutcheon all neat and tidy looking this idea was also used by many other makers of the period Pete
