Colin Lindsay
I'm trying to find replacement seals for the manky rubber versions fitted to my Waso and MP fuel caps for the Herald / Vitesse (although the original screw-on caps could probably do with some too). It's actually an MOT fail - "fuel cap sealing washer torn, deteriorated or missing... such that the leakage of fuel is possible". Does anyone know a source? I've tried the Net and a few kit-car sites but nothing suitable so far. With the rising price of fuel I'm not letting even a little bit evaporate if I can help it. Any thoughts? Paul H
I replaced mine using bicycle inner tube . Worked fine and the petrol hasn’t affected the rubber Paul

Colin Lindsay
I must bear that in mind; I was thinking about cutting my own replacements if nothing else comes up. I've found a site which although they show Waso caps in the photo (plus the MP version as well) I'm not sure if they're the proper seals yet. https://retrospecparts.com/shop/other-makes/panhard/locking-fuel-cap-replacement-gasket-seal-set-for-2cv-ds-hy-many-others/
Peter Truman
Lindsey I have the same problem but my Sprint has the same lockable cap as PH, I found a near soft poly washer that fit in the jar of odds and sorts but would like a suitable permanent replacement, so will stay watching
Colin Lindsay
I've gone ahead and ordered a pair of seals from the linked site; in the photo of the selection they show they have both Waso and the smaller silver MP model, and they claim their seals fit both. I'll report when I receive them. Cost me about £5 including postage.
Colin Lindsay
Just to update further: I've had an e-mail from a company called petrolcaps https://www.petrolcaps.co.uk/classics/ I made contact to enquire if they'd sell seals as opposed to entire caps, so a gentleman called Mark has asked me to send over sample sizes and he'll see what they can match them with. I've sent over both the Waso and the MP seal so I'll advise again when he makes return contact.
Dave1360
I bought one of these a while ago for the standard non-locking Vitesse cap - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372632387997 I can't remember the size but they've got plenty to choose from. Still like new 2 years later. Dave
ahebron
I wonder if they could be 3D printed using TPU?

I bought two from an online company just by sight and whilst one seemed to fit the MP cap it was far too thick and the cap would not screw on. The other seal was thinner but much too large. Petrolcaps should have received my old seals by now and will hopefully update if they have a match.
