  1. ‘Tis an option to be fair. But in reality they have been put in the new shed and have the honour of being the first things in there. To be joined tomorrow by a load of other crap. Sorry. Very useful stuff.
  2. Well, my wheels and tyres have arrived today - better move them out of the hall...........
  3. It will be 2020 for the Le Mans classic as they run every 2 years. But there are other classics around Europe. I’m sure the spa classic is annual - and that is one of my favourite tracks from a visual perspective and photography.
  4. I've just looked and they are hosted on a secure service and not on here - so it might be the iPad doesn't like the certificate?
  5. Must be your settings Gully as they are fine on my PC and my iPad and phone
  6. John, I get where you are coming from - I help organise a couple of rallies every year as well as going to a couple of tracks to watch our company sponsored car - and take pictures which is my other passion. And very occasionally get lucky.
  7. I am a bit of a coward when it comes to track days - I’ve never done one and not sure that I would be able to resist going a bit too fast and loose it. And I can’t afford to smash it up. Or at least don’t what to afford to. Anyway. I ordered them today and had a call to say the yoki’s weren’t in stock but would do the falkens for the same price.
  8. Mosty gauges are "indication" only but are good for changes - once you get to know the car, you can work out what is normal!
  9. Sorry, a bit of thread drift - but at least partly on track! ( did you see what I did there?)
  10. Roger, I know what you are saying- but my current wheels are a bit Meeh and need something doing to them - and I've always liked Minilites since I was a kid - the tyres aren't great on the car - so it seems ideal to kill 2 birds with one stone - and as there is a bit of a deal on........ I would like to go abroad one day in the Spitfire - and I will - but not next year - but I do want to drive it more that is true - I've got a new shed coming tomorrow which will allow the garage to be sorted out and to give better access to the car all year round as I have to work on the drive at the moment. I still will for some jobs, but it will be nice to be able to do some bits in the garage!
  11. Its ok @clive- she is used to it - My photography hobby is probably more expensive....... I dropped one lens onto the hotel floor during my recent trip to the USA - cost over £500 to repair it - insurance has covered a large proportion. And I'm also buying a friends 300mm f2.8 lens that she is no longer using because its too heavy.......... Don't NEED it............
  12. Mine is full of air (Well, not full, but pockets of air as Dave says) I can't see the air making much difference TBH - though happy to be proven wrong, if it means its reading low 😉
  13. Yes, I think black is a definite - the wife has asked why do I need them. Need? What is this need concept? Never heard of that before. 😂
  14. Yes you are right - glad I did the photoshop now, as I would have gone gun metal. Black I do think looks better. Hope it does in the flesh too!
  15. Photoshop is great - just I'm not that proficient at it!
  16. Yeah but gun or black! My first thought is Gun - but not sure f the black would set the blue off better 😂
  17. Bit too late for my daily- I've damaged the rims more times on that in 40k miles than my old Land Rover in 7 years and 170k including offroad damage!
  18. Yes - I like the minilights - not the pure silver ones, but either the black highlights or gun metal highlights. On a Blue Spitfire.
  19. No, I've not got the wheels yet - the only reason I'm looking now rather than later (I have got the studs, but not fitted) is that they are offering 20% off. A full set of nuts is only £17 or so - less a bit of discount - so about £14 ish. If I don;t buy them at the same time, then its cost plus postage. You can call me tight if you want! So, I'm not sure the best way to go - your complete set or a new set. The black friday sale doesn't end until Monday night, so I do have a couple of days to think about and perhaps call them on Monday.
  20. Thanks Richard - not sure if I need open or closed nuts... I'd prefer closed - but it depends I guess on how long the studs are!
  21. And which wheel nuts would I need with landrover type studs?
