OK thanks, I see that now.

Taking into account the manifold location, the n/s/f is closest then.

I'll just use gravity until I find an assistant :)

Gravity is the only method i use Jeff and have never had a problem. The assistant can make you a cuppa :)

That only works Pete if you have a box of spares in the car.....I emptied the boot on my Dolly to finish off rustproofing...... Then went out for a run a few days after. I said to my mate  after the car promptly broke down that i needed my workbench. Why he said? You can guess the rest. :(

Have I done it?If I have, deepest thanks from all that is dear to me👍

Nice looking car Clive and in one of my favorite colours.  You wont notice plug wise Clive if you just use bog standard N9Y plugs or BP6ES that's what my car's run on and not had a problem. I don't own a mobile phone so i could not comment on how to do anything with one..

My daughter is under strict instructions: from me, it's someone exotic from somewhere hot, preferably by the sea, so I can go out there and live at their expense. From her mother, it's someone wealthy with an equestrian stud farm, or stately home with lots of land.

Not worth it a stately home Colin....... My mate said he was going leave me one......   True to his word he did :) Then i found it was F*ck hall :(

yes the shaft splines can agrevate the twitch but if the rubber bushes are soft the arm is able to steer the rear

changed mine with a friend  used sockets studding and washers  and the paste lube supplied  did it  on the car , took about an hour each side

just  jack and drop the arm enough to remove and refit ,

new bushes corrected a rear toe error i had pondered over but it came back to factory with decent bushes .

    Pete

Thanks Pete, i was thinking of having to take the arms off. It seems ok at the moment after doing the splines, one in particular would hardly move. Being an auto i don't tend to drive it too hard and it happened mostly in the wet.

Hi just asking a few questions regarding my 2000 which I have stripped the back brakes and cleaned the front after not being on the road for 10/12 years

I was going to replace flexible hoses all round ,new cyclinder  on back wheels and buy a  calliper repair kit but discs are £82 on Rimmers each.Do any other work as well ?? or other places to try ??

Normal hoses or braided ones ??

    Thanks Mark

If you are not used to fitting the rear cyls Mark? You might want to get one of these  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Mini-Rear-Brake-Cylinder-Clip-Tool-wheel-austin-morris-rover-cooper-1275/184349771754?hash=item2aec1a47ea:g:GDQAAMXQobdQ7r~K makes life a lot easier for the price.

Handbrake operating lever RHpic c/o robsport

I thought it was the sliding drive shaft joint that caused the twitch Pete? It cured mine :)  Trailing arm bushes look a pig to do? Although i have never done them..... Are they dead easy Pete?

I had changed the thermostat, it was 82 and new is 82. Def opening as rad hot.

Treat yourself to one of these Mathew, you will know if it's running hot or just normal. I might be paranoid, but i bought three..... One for each Triumph :)  None of them overheating, tried different stats and transmitters ect.     https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INFRARED-THERMOMETER-LCD-TEMPERATURE-GUN-IR-TEMP-METER-NON-CONTACT-DIGITAL-GOOD/313147106805?hash=item48e905a5f5:g:YAkAAOSwIZ5fDXbo

  10. When i bought my Stag it had braided hoses...... First thing i did was take them off and put them in the bin. I do still clamp hoses, but only for a short time. If overnight i use brake pipe fitting with flattened end pipe.

    Thanks for this.

I am now wondering about the tyre wear, maybe I should just slow down a bit on the bendy sections, of which there are LOTS around here.

How often do you do "U" turns or use full lock Chris? I had this happen to a customer and we were baffled until he arrived home in his car and did a "U" turn on full lock. This was going on two or three times a day. After being told to do three point turns instead.... Problem vanished.
