It does sound like one of battery leads has got a high resistance, as Doug say's jump leads will eliminate them. Also check the timing isnt to far advanced and does it start ok with a push?

It's cheap enough to have a play with. I think a heat gun is needed to do it well. I also wondered if there was different qualities?

There is a company in Bolton that fits Corsa power steering around the £800 mark job done for a Dolomite.

They are all going the same way Pete, even the like of Bosch and De Walt. On the plus side you only need one charger and a couple of batteries, not so long ago you would have a bench full of chargers and batteries. On the down side you are stuck to one make.

Can it be used to strip paint Badwolf??

Hi Chris, If waxoil? any of those will work if Ziebart that can be a bit more troublesome if it's gone hard? I would suspect it is waxoil from your description so should not be difficult but somewhat messy

McAfee blocked this site for 'phishing' but then they also blocked the TR Register on my Mac as well, so I'm assuming it's okay.
Strangely my Eset AV blocked this site as well??

Hi all, I have just been having a sort out in my garage and found some gaskets. CG 902 Payen and AG 900 Payen. Can anyone point me to what they fit. I know they are 6cyl but what models?
Thanks, Tony.

Hi all, sorry for the recent silence, I've been juggling time.
Great advice, which I can really understand.....So much so that part of the juggling enabled me to go & view the 2500TC. Seems like an incredibly honest car, loads of info on line from when it was a Classics Monthly staff car (2016-18). Lots of important work done, found 2 small holes underneath, needs TLC & is scruffy but sound.
So I am now the proud owner! Collecting Saturday.
Now the fun starts...Is there anyone in the club that would offer an evaluation, to see what needs doing urgently/less urgently/when time allows?
Sitting here with a BIG smile!
Mike.
Well done Mike, you will have an even bigger smile when you start driving it

Hi Andrew, just take the fuse out and see what stops working, if anything?

Hi Tony.
Saw this earlier. Am tempted, especially as it was featured in a classic car mag for a while.
Trouble is, I really want either a PI or S, for the performance & gadgets. Possibly being fussy? But really want either if possible.
I know what you mean Mike, I have a 2000 and a 2500s both saloons...... I looked for 2years before i found a decent "s" so you could be in for a long wait for an "s" estate. The ebay one might be a good stop gap whilst you keep looking

Guess I better get on and order a new UJ from the club shop to replace the one I broke.
Karl
And another vice to use while you touch up the scratches on the other one I did break a vice like that old one once, but in all fairness it did have a long length of scaffolding tube on it whilst a bearing was being whacked with a large hammer in the jaws.

The handle still needs some work, but unsure if I will bother painting the vice, or just oil it up. to protect it.
And that's where I left it for today.
Karl
Looks like a bargain Karl, i would oil it if i were you.... As you would be repainting it every time you use it or scratch it

Can you drive out of the vibration Mike? If so i would suggest getting the wheels balanced as that is the speed wheel vibes tend to start at for some reason. Sometimes increase in speed makes it worse or more often it will disapear.
