I'm a big fan of velcro but it's how to attach it, my sewing skills aren't good! I've dug deeper and Newton's don't seem to have this loose piece in their kit. I'll phone them tomorrow.
As I have a T9 gearbox I believe the tunnel is different to standard.

Please see photos of my tunnel and the loose trim piece that is supposed cover the tunnel edge to floor mat. I don't know if this is standard but it's always floating about and getting under my feet. A real pain!
So my thought is to try and find some biscuit coloured (might have to be black) pvc U strip to fit on the edge of the g/box cover and contact glue the strips either side of the tunnel to floor mat.
Any other suggestions, but keep it simple!

Apart from spanner roll, socket set and other small tools, cables etc I carry a small trolley jack and a plywood board not much fun (and possibly dangerous) jacking the car up on grass to change a wheel.

My handbrake was nearly as bad as yours, I discovered the rear drum shoes needed adjusting. Once done the handbrake is much lower to engage and works fine.

Newman Cams sell single springs for their PH1-3 cams rated at 160lbs and doubles for their race cam rated at 200lbs. I would go with their recommendation and buy the single spring.

They look good, the 8mm leads I have are blue. The important thing is some have the correct angled fittings. The previous set on my car all had straight plug fittings and made the leads look untidy.

There's an arrow on my rotor arm showing which way it rotates. Follow the arm round and make sure the lead from the plug is in that order on the cap.

I fitted mine vertically on rubber mounts bolted to a galv cover plate. The plate covers the hole where the old pump was. That way I used the existing copper pipe with new hose ends.

Would your normal side lights with replacement led bulbs to brighten them up conform to German regs? Led bulbs can be obtained in various colour ranges.
I replaced mine and the sides and brake lights are much better.

Do you know what the actual timing is? I set by vacuum and backed off 1 but this was 20btdc and it pinked on load. I've backed off to about 15 degrees and seems to be ok. I too try and fill with Tesco Momentum 99 Octane.
Good point! I must learn to use my brain.....
The markings on the pulley are faint so when I had the engine out I marked tdc and 13 degrees btdc with a white tipex. On checking using the piston stop the pulley outer ring hasn't moved and tdc is in fact in line with the pointer on the cam cover.
I think it's easier and possibly more accurate to use a dead stop of some kind whether that's through the spark plug or a bridge across the block if the head is off.
With the stop I bought the rocker assembly had to be removed as the opening valve hit the stop.
Hopefully that's the only blockage. When refilling I've always been told not to mix OAT and IAT antifreeze. When I bought my car the radiator, heater valve and some pipes where full of a gloopy gel (some of it solid) that can form when you mix the two types.
