  1. Mines horizontal and works OK. It does sound like fuel starvation, try Peter's suggestions first. Iain
  2. I think the answer is if anything it's very minimal.
  3. So did I, fitted it and the splines were so bad it didn't grip the shaft. Plain dangerous! Fitted my old one as I didn't know about Chris Witors part. Send it back! Iain
  4. I think Tony is correct unless the PS enables you to drive faster. For a given speed and change of direction PS just makes the input easier, at the mechanical end the forces are the same. Iain
  5. Friend with shoulder problems fitted PS to his MGC, another Dolly Parton car (heavy up front), and he swears by it. Its manually adjustable for speed sensitivity and I think from a Corsa and only cost £250. Iain
  6. Just bought some 1/4 and 5/16 hose from the club shop and it's marked up R14 which is very high spec. Iain
  7. Excellent visibility in traffic!
  8. I like your thinking and for dessert something sugar based? Rum?
  9. I think pickling is different to fermenting (I might be wrong!). Fermented food is supposed to be good for your gut. I'm currently on the Villa Maria Pinot Noir Cellar Selection diet. Very tashhhty🥴
  10. With a topic 'Extreme Exhaust Fumes' it was bound to go off piste! I've started to take probiotics and fermented veg, I am a one man climate hazard.......
  11. So does that mean if she puts a bung up each nostril it will stop the migraines? 😤 It was 52C when I visited the Aswan Dam. Only lasted 15 minutes before it was unbearable. The shock of getting out of an air-conditioned coach was enough to give you a heart attack!
  12. Very interesting, my wife has an extremely keen sense of smell and has suffered from headaches the whole of her life. I'll tell her she's special and get some brownie points😇 Iain
  13. With only thou's to take off and knowing where on the taper it must take a lot of practice. Not something I would play with. Plenty of needles out there to get it sort of right or even spot on. I'm accumulating quite a selection!
  14. I think it's done by the Kevinometer! I've another 800 posts until I'm a full two ring lieutenant! I'm off to finally fit the new fuse box.
  15. I have you a like but you still didn't win the day!
  16. I have the bottom adjustable jet and use the depth gauge which is on most vernier calipers to measure the depth. Just poke the arm down and straddle the bridge. I don't have any experience with top adjusters but it seems you will have to lower the fixed jet so you can get a decent idle. As Clive said most needles for a 90 thou jet have virtually the same taper at the first two graduations. It's much easier with a bottom adjuster! Iain
  17. I don't know the taper on these needles but I assume due to being used on a 2.5 they would need to go down to 50 thou or less or you might not get enough fuel in. Iain
  18. My Cholesterol level didn't like those, I did😋 Sorry Pete I'm a biccie fan but love the smell of Castrol R better than petrol.
  19. Pladis bought United Biscuits in 2014. I think they also own Godiva choccy in their portfolio of companies.
  20. All production going abroad as dictated by the Turkish multinational owners. I'm boycotting the brand, the same factory has been in Glasgow since Culloden! We are the biccie nation of the world....
  21. I'll see you at Duxford.........! I'm asked nicely if I can have the carbs back to go in the Vitesse, if not its the boring modern
  22. 1/4 turn can make quite a difference, small steps are better. I get my Digestives from M&S. They have them made at the McVitie factory in Glasgow which is now closing so I hope they will still be made in the UK! Iain
  23. Rich Tea colour not chocolate brownies.
  24. Dave, the price is £114 each plus vat. This is for a complete recon including bushing/seal. As a recon kit including spindles from Burlen is over £100 for the pair I thought the price very reasonable. I hope they do a good job, if not I'll blame Pete! Iain
