  1. Done some background reading, and it appears that a number of sites are reporting similar behaviour since the latest security patch was released. Clearing the cache seems to be what fixes it for most people. I guess that invision are looking at the problem and why it’s occurring with the latest patch and will fix it soon.
  2. Try the following on your computer if this happens again : Reload the web page. ... Clear your browser's cache. ... Delete your browser's cookies. ...
  3. I've been dipping in and out all day with no problems, definitely not maintenance from the Admin side of things. What was the error message ?
  4. Even stuff on this messageboard has been revisited in the time this one has been up and running
  5. They dropped to about 30p each before they finally sold out. I bought a large quantity from the local Jaguar Main Stealer and they were stunned by how cheap they were.

    LIDL/ALDI TOOLS

Bought with my Long Service Award. It’s taken a bit of practice, but the welds are now acceptable. very different from MIG welding, a bit like OxyAcetelene with a flame that can be turned on and off at the press of a button
  9. Does that make it a collectors item that will be worth millions in a few years time ?
  10. Should be very similar - even on Chrome on Windows 10, there is a link at the bottom of the reply window to attach/choose files
  11. On an iPhone, use the Add Files link at the bottom of the reply window and turn just pick the pictures from the photo library, or take a picture with the camera
  12. My gut feeling says to replace them one at a time. If you undo them all, then you will probably get a HG failure
  13. Which is the same part number as the head fitted to the Midget 1500 engine.
  14. That's what I intend to do once I work out how to swap the group order around without accidentally deleting their account.
  15. Roger, Most of the CoM members are members of the Forum, and their accounts are tagged as "Com member", but its as a secondary group, and not their main group. The search doesn't seem to find them because "Com Member" is their secondary group, rather than primary group. The same applies if you search "moderators" for me, as my primary group is "administrators", so I dont show up in a "moderators" search, even though "moderator" is my secondary group The CoM members who are on the forum are Chris Gunby (Triumph948), Nigel Hill (Nigel Hill), Tom Hartley (Tom Hartley), and Jane Rowley (Jane)
  16. Not only are there 2 sets of shadows from the fixed objects, there is only one shadow from each vehicle. In addition, the road markings appear on top of many of the vehicles - my guess is that its two images taken at different times and laid over each other.
  17. Anyone care to name all the cars that are in the picture. It's obviously been taken during a classic car "parade".
  18. Just looking at the Google "Satellite" image of the Swindon Magic Roundabout (which I remember well from my three years at Shrivenham) I noticed something rather strange about the imagery and faking the moon landings came to my mind. Can anyone else spot what I've spotted ?
  19. Yes, simply click on the "SIGN UP" button in the top right hand corner of the page and then follow the instructions.
  20. No idea what is causing the occasional 404 error, shouldn't be something that the update introduced. When it occurs, could you please screen shot the display, or note the URL that you were trying to access when the error occurred. As for odd behaviour from the Forum members, that is always being monitored !!!
  21. The latest forum software patch has just been applied. Please let me know if you notice any odd behaviour.
  22. First experiments are using 3mm thick strip. Once I've got the technique of keeping the molten weld pool moving I'll move onto adding filler rod and then onto something thinner and eventually onto car panel thickness. The two test pieces above were my very first attempts with the TIG, just to prove it works. Lots and lots of playing with the current, slope settings and pre and post gas settings to come. After my first hour of playing, it really looks like practice makes perfect - and I'll need a lot of practice. Something I've learned already is that the demonstration videos are made by people that know what they are doing - I think it would be much better if there was a video of an absolute beginner actually being taught how to TIG weld, so that the mistakes are real mistakes, rather than an expert just saying avoid doing X, Y or Z and then demonstrating a perfect weld.
