Alex,

It looks like the message about exceeding the attachment quota and the posting a linked picture are two separate things.

Try posting another picture link as "Plain Text" and see what happens - I've converted the link in your last but 1 post into plain text and it shows the picture.

Lora is still going strong I'm happy to report but there are issues. Well, one BIG issue. The paintwork. I had planned for the bonnet and boot to be painted to get rid of the water spots but it's now a lot worse than that. The paint is cracking everywhere, the drivers door being the worse. She looks terrible. There is a place round the corner from me that specialise in classic paint so I'll be taking some deep breaths and going to see them for a quote,

we painted sons first orrible nappy yellow Mini with Japlac from homebase  a brush and mini sponge roller

it looked good,  the sponge gives a nice orange peel finish (maybe more thiners needed ) but this  cost less than £20 and took a day to turn it into a bright red _ white roof Mini it lasted 5 years

brush the edges and roller the main surfaces apart from a bit of flatting to prep this was a remarkable transformation for pea nuts

Yep, about £2K sounds right. Hey ho. Yes I still enjoy driving her regardless and still get loads of comments. Going to see the chap tomorrow. As for the roller paint, yes it can look amazing. I do remember watching a time lapse of some bloke with a huge American car and he applied a thin layer every day for a month. As you say cheap as chips and it did look very good indeed. Me? Spray please and by someone who owns a booth and an oven!
