DJB350Z
Hi, Turns out in my boxes of parts I don't have both engine mounting brackets (for my 2.5PI engine). I think the one I have is a left hand bracket assuming I've offered it up properly, and im looking at the car from the front. Can someone confirm? Manual only shows 1 bracket, but canleys has 2 part numbers so I want to make sure I order the correct side.

Jeffds1360
Ahh but is left hand looking from the front, as DJB states, or from the inside of the car when left is nearside in UK?
andybeau
Usually lh and rh of a car is from sitting in it
chrishawley
Here's mine. Fitted such that the studs for the rubber mounting fall rearwards of the divider. Am I 100% sure that's correct. Nope! But the engine fits ok. Left and right on a vehicle are always defined in terms of what is L or R for the driver sitting in the drivers seat. As an aside: If putting 2.5 engine in a GT6 do you have the a suitable sump pan sorted out? Unmoded parts won't fit.

Shame the part isn't stamped with the number 🤷♂️ Yes, I have a sump pan that has already been 'modified'. Thanks for the photos. What was wrong with the other crank pulley? 😄
chrishawley
As I recall the other pully got dropped and chipped the edge (moi!). Having done this a couple of times previous I've learnt the hard way to pull pulleys off rather than lever off from behind.

A good result, now you just have to get the engine back in the chassis! Iain
