Clive
I think Bastuk, or at least a German specialist, makes a TR style casing for the a type OD. Or they used to......in which case you could get a non-TR type overdrive and put the correct case on it I think a TR overdrive unit will be very very tricky to find at a reasonable price. As you have discovered so far. Have you got all teh other parts to convert the car to overdrive (mainshaft etc)

Clive
I think the TR register is a better bet to try. And all I remember is a chap converting a couple ofgearboxes to TR specification about 20 years ago. Though I did notice that the saloon and TR flanges are differently drilled! (he had been selling these, buying A type saloon boxes and TR non od boxes, when they were all about £50)
TTC
Hi cilve, maybe you right , yes you are, but the TR register is pretty big, tough. i personaly think , here ín yours forumworld ...its more harmonic by the way , what´s your fancy car? a saloon 2500tc , i like this so much.... my second is a db9 cheers tom
Clive
Very happy with my spitfire "hybrid" (75% Triumph, 15% ford 5% subaru and a few other bits and pieces!) But I also have a toledo with TR7 engine, which is a nice little car. If I had my choice, I would add a mk1 PI, probably. Could be tempted by a TR5,..... but happy with mine! TTC
Hi clive, yes, my TR6 is not 100% british anymore, she got a massflowmetre form bmw , ecu form trijekt , injektors for bosch, i guess, modified intakes and some selfmade modified things around well, a TR5 is a lovely thing, got more curves, as the TR6 cheers ttc tom
