Dave C
When turning right both indicators flash, I can hear the relay clicking on and off and the green 'trafficator' lamp on the speedo flashes. All good. When turning left both indicators flash, I can hear the relay clicking on and off but the green 'trafficator' lamp on the speedo doesn't flash. Any suggestions? dougbgt6
Speedo bulb should have a green and red wire connecting it to the rest of the turn left circuit. This likely disconnected. Start at the bulb and trace it back, there should be a dual bullet connector possibly near the directional switch. (Right is green and white). Dave C
Thanks Doug, I'll take a look at it tomorrow all being well and report back....
Dave C
Fixed it. A PO had fitted LEDs. The Trafficator circuit doesn't like LEDs. I fitted an original style bulb and all is now well, if slightly less bright.

dougbgt6
I think it can be done with LEDs, you need diodes in the right places. But, another thing to go wrong!
Darren Groves
You just need an electronic flasher unit as they'll work with any bulb, no need for diodes. Will outlast the old mechanical type flasher unit. Darren
Mjit
Electronic flasher units are a really simple and effective upgrade over the mechanical ones - https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/1061/category/35 Almost a direct replacement for the mechanical one, just requiring a new earth lead and you get indicators that flash as quickly as everyone else's and don't slow down and stop if a bulb earth gets a little grubby. Dave C
Thanks I'll take a look at an electronic flasher unit at some point.
Colin Lindsay
Fit a small Maplins buzzer into the circuit, the noise tells you they're on when you can't see the light flashing in daylight.
