Hello If you alter the figures in the boxes and do recalculate it seems to work Roger

It does tally 😀 I had already done a calculation in the past based on the limited info in the little hand got the same figures, or close enough. Am I correct in that the engine red lines at 5500 rpm? Hello Chris 1500 Spitfire is marked 6000 to 7000 rpm! I think if you go to 7000 rpm you would be looking for a new engine! But I am told the 1300 can rev to these figures(when balanced etc) According to the calculator if I can rev it to 5000rpm in o/d top I will be doing 118.9mph (j type 28%) 5500 = 130.7mph 6000 = 142mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Roger
Chris A
Roger: I'm unlikely to take it over 5000, and only then very occassionaly I prefer to drive it using the torque rather than the bhp. 7000 rpm? does that exist? Maybe its a mythe like 6 am exists 🤣
