Now you tell me 😡 I did a manual recalculation to get the figures based on a standard 13/60 diff of 4.11. It does tally 😀 I had already done a calculation in the past based on the limited info in the little hand got the same figures, or close enough.

Am I correct in that the engine red lines at 5500 rpm?

Hello Chris

                    1500 Spitfire is marked 6000 to 7000 rpm! I think if you go to 7000 rpm you would be looking for a new engine!

But I am told the 1300 can rev to these figures(when balanced etc)

According to the calculator if I can rev it to 5000rpm in o/d top I will be doing 118.9mph (j type 28%) 5500 = 130.7mph 6000 = 142mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
