Cavity protection

Hi Chris, i'm afraid anything thats any good will catch fire, unless cleaned off before hand. One the best products is Dynax s-50 by Bilt Hamber.... Waxoyl when it was made by Finnigans was good stuff, but alas is now just a brand name and not good. Others will be along soon with their favourites.  :)

Hi Chris,

if you have a MIG welder, preferably with CO2, then have it handy when welding the sills. A quick blast of gas will stop the blaze.

Dynax and any of the Dinitrol range are very good.

we only had waxoyl and on rebuilding the  Vit doors noticed a small crack where they all get one at the end of the glass aperture , so with little thought a quick 

stitch of mig and you can get 8ft flames out of the door   ...wonderful   then clean up the extiguisher mess afterwards   it didnt damage the paint or wax but stained the underpants
