PeterH
Following an earlier topic about problems with vacuum bleed kits, I bought a Vizibleed one man bleed aid - £4.99 from Halford and can report that it works well. You can easily do it on your own
Jeffds1360
I agree. If there are no other problems a vacuum makes it all very simple. Then again, you have all those pipes and a container to clean up and tidy away. I will go for Mr Newton first and the wife's legs second followed by the vacuum
Anglefire
Anyone tried reversing bleeding brakes? I know its quite common on clutches.
Jeffds1360
Hi Mark, well... as far as I know it is ok but you need to wash the whole system out first and then blow it all back in from your bleed valves. I suppose it could be good if you have a multi port master and or a split system left/right back/front and/or a servo too but I think on our simple systems that 32 foot per second squared is fine or even your mates ankles and knees
Pete Lewis
ive got a ford electric pumped unit and a mityvac hand pump thats why i use legs and jam jar on production we vacuumed to zero and if that was achieved the fluid was a rush in via the reservoir , no bleeding needed , but all cylinder seals were designed to withstand the vacuum and that was back in the late 80s 90s Pete
