I agree. If there are no other problems a vacuum makes it all very simple. Then again, you have all those pipes and a container to clean up and tidy away. I will go for Mr Newton first and the wife's legs second followed by the vacuum :)

Hi Mark, well... as far as I know it is ok but you need to wash the whole system out first and then blow it all back in from your bleed valves. I suppose it could be good if you have a multi port master and or a split system left/right back/front and/or a servo too but I think on our simple systems that 32 foot per second squared is fine or even your mates ankles and knees :)

ive got a ford electric pumped unit and a  mityvac hand pump  thats why i use legs and jam jar

on production we vacuumed to zero and if that was achieved the fluid was a rush in via the reservoir , no bleeding needed , but all cylinder seals were designed to withstand the vacuum

and that was back in the late 80s 90s
