  1. Marketed in the uk by Frosts . I rate the product range including fuel tank sealer . I’ve treated engine ancillaries and look new and applied 2 years ago . The rule for applying is to follow the rules . Here’s a link to start with Paul

  7. Hi just changing the antifreeze in my Vitesse mk2 and a few observations which might make the job easier for you. Remove the air filter box and the overflow bottle to assist access. The bottom hose was a pig as with the circlips removed the hose wouldnt budge so removed the top section off first which is easier , so make sure you have the necessary tray in place to collect the water . Pour boiling water over the base of the hose and twist the hose and it came off easily The engine tap is under the rear carb and difficult to access . The valve can be undone by hand but very likely not much water will come out . So it’s necessary in my case to remove the brass plug . It’s 3/4 in AF and wouldn’t shift by using a spanner , this the setup I used note the brass plug doesn’t have the copper washer, this is either missing or in the water collection tray With the plug removed water should start to flow albeit in my case slowly . To free up the flow I used a screwdriver , see pic and the screwdriver went into the hilt so approx 10 cms . Water flow followed , lastly undid the tap at the base of the radiator . Plan is now to chemical flush and refill at 50% antifreeze and distilled water . Hopefully this will keep the system cooler when caught in standing traffic Paul .
  8. To save money buy a 240v version plus you will get more Nm for your money . I’ve got a Milwaukee battery impact wrench 110nm and a Lidl 240v 1/2 ins impact wrench 330 nm and under £30 . Paul
  9. Picked this up from Facebook GT6, and Vitesse three way inlet manifold water adaptors in stock. Now produced in stainless steel. At nearly half the price of those recently advertised on Ebay, and the correct specification for both GT6, and Vitesse unlike other suppliers fobbing you off with 'one size fits all' GT6 type only. https://www.canleyclassics.com/heating-and-cooling/vitesse-gt6-three-way-adapter Paul

  15. Spotted this military vehicle in a drive in the village over the weekend . Chatting to the owner I remember the following info Year 1959 though probably earlier Can travel at 40 mph Rolls Royce 4.2 litre Weight 3.5 mt Preselect Gearbox Supplied originally without a turret , so he made one out of wood and changed the height and will fit into his garage Owner uses it to go shopping at Tesco’s , no parking issues 😊 I think it’s Dutch But I forgot what the military vehicle is , can anybody help complete my knowledge Paul

  19. Agree with Hazards having been caught out on the M7 in Ireland , though then purchased the Hazard Switch from the Club Shop and the experience was not good at all , the switch kept falling to pieces and the contact was intermittent and then purchased from EBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-KIT-CAR-Hazard-Warning-Light-Switch-KIT-COMPLETE-with-bracket/303032562097. This one is much cheaper and works fine plus installation is easier I have been in touch with the ClubShop Paul

  21. Agree with upgraded blade fuse box . I upgraded my Vitesse. I learnt loads about the system and, even got a couple of spare slots . Before this I had never played with auto electrics . At times it was a tad frustrating but there’s loads of help here . I’ve added spots, relays , upgraded heater blower, radio , lighter socket, heated seats, rear fog , reversing light , electric washers, repaired horn wiring as it was originally operated by a separate push button , replaced damaged wiring , upgraded to alternator Paul
