  1. Yes! The problem was that the photo in the Triumph Workshop Manual shows in the picture at the Dynamo end, with the HT leads starting at No1 thro to No6 and in the Owners Handbook the HT leads next to the Dynamo starts at No6 and this threw me a little! Anyway I had the right sequence! but the starter motor is a little slow and the engine would not turn over fully? I then found a small leak at the Adjusting Screw under the Stromberg Carb.
  2. Hi! The Vitesse 6 Owners manual shows a Firing Number layout different to the Vitesse Workshop Manual? Can someone send me the correct sequence please? I am working on the car know!! Cheers martyn

  10. Hi All, Can anyone tell me which of the 3 Accellerator pedals is the correct one for my 1600/6 ( I think its the middle one as the Clip that fits over the rod is missing??) I have never seen one so! Many Thanks Martyn
  11. Hi Steve Have you a photo of the pedal? If you go onto "Canley Classics" there will be a Diagram and part number for your vehicle!
  12. Hi! I new Stan Walters! When I purchased my 1600/6 which I found in a Barn on top of Totnes mountain, back in 1998, I purchased a brand new chassis and a few other bits from him! He also gave me a Signed "Practical Classics Book. He then moved to Spain a couple of years after that.

  15. Hi All! I am looking for a "Rod Type" Accelerator Pedal and "Rear Clip"? The pedal was taken out on restoration of the bodywork and not returned with the car! Parts 18 (Clip is not shown) on Canley Classic 2nd Diagram (Below)
  16. Hi Pete! I looked into this last year, thinking I was missing the bolt? I was unable to find a code No for the said bolt! I thought it was the pivot bolt on the 13/60 Hood Diagram(Pt No41)- Canley Classics! but found that it was not in the end? You might have to drill it out and as you said "Weld one in"?
  17. Hi Colin! On my Convertable, I have one on the Tank side and one on the passenger side? Maybe it is because of the Scuttle movement??
  18. Hi Colin! I have just had a look at my Vitesse 1600/6. On the bottom I have just the "Rivet" sticking out and on the top have a Rivet & a small piece of bent over metal which looks like you would slot in a thin panel and it would be held in place? Cheers Martyn
  19. Hi! I had the same problem on my 1600/6 Vitesse? I ended up cleaning out the Bleed Nipple(see Pics)! and fitting new Bleed Nipples(Canleys) Cheers martyn
  20. Apparently the Mk1 2L came in Sept 66, without the "6" Badge" and are the seat belt fittings correct?
