I have one on one of my cars, and i think they only come in 5/16? I use the plastic ones on the others as i have a ready supply and they always go to the bigger part.... so all are 5/16. I don't have preference to either as they both do the job.

Just to clarify a point:
Aldi battery charger: page 22 in the instruction book states: " If the battery that you wish to charge is connected in the vehicle, first disconnect the vehicle's negative terminal connection cable (black) from the battery's negative terminal before the charging or trickle charging process. "
The ctek is safe to connect to the vehicle as it is without causing damage to the alternator or whatever.
Ooops, i never read the manual...... But in saying that i have been using two Aldi ones the same as C-Tech and not had any problems.

I have seen speaker wires run out of the door card where it clips to the door and the same on the footwell, not pretty but wires don't get trapped and no holes need drilling.

Wow! I have rear floodlights! I'll have to be careful where and when I reverse, as I am now showing more than the legal light intensity, probably....
Don't worry Mark, by the time they have got their eyesight back... You will be long gone

LED's arrived this morning (1st class service by Classic Car LED's!). Fitted and the difference, even in daylight, is substantial. I'll be checking them out after dark... Tempting now to replace all the rear bulbs with LED's.
They do make one hell of a difference Mark, i didn't realise how much until i got my car.

Can you fit a couple of rear-roof mounted spots? Just plug in to the 12v power supply on the dash when needed. Also helps with loading / unloading in the dark too.
I was just thinking the same Colin as a Yodel van has just been and that had two small led spots one on each corner of the roof.

I reverse park on our driveway and now that I often return after dark, I find that the reverse lights are next to useless... Would super bright (not for road use) LEDs be the answer? The existing bulbs are standard 12v 21w 382.
They would be the answer Mark more so if there is no other light. My modern has led lights and i live rural, what a difference they make. I don't have any problems now. https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk These are the best to buy from.

If this has only happened since you replaced the led dash bulbs? Have you tried removing them, especially if they are cheap chinese stuff.

I have never disconnected the batteries on my Triumphs with Aldi or C-Tech and not had any problems.
