If on Strombergs check the dash pot oil, my 1850 Dolly is a sod for that.

hey no problem just the crystal ball has covid gets cloudy at time Ha
this is a pain to do but can make all the difference , sorry its get out and get under
just disconnect one end lock up hard, readjust the cable to a neat fit de adjust the shoes just enough to free off
you get a better feel with wheel on but that makes refits a pain . one turn on the adjuster should work
if you get on improvement I'll get me coat
Pete
It's a shame its not impossible to adjust brakes without having to remove the handbrake cable, no offence Rich it's ok if you have spent your life with them like myself Pete and others on here.

From what i have found on this and other forum's, i have to say i would have to be desperate to buy anything from Rimmers And haven't done for a number of years now. I know they give refunds, but no explanation.

I once had a home made slide hammer for removing half shafts. Talk about over engineered it took two people to use it, but it never failed to get a shaft out. People would come for miles to borrow it. The churchill one we had was good, but not like the "Boss" as we called it.

Yes, you hired the entire box as a precaution; if you needed anything, you used it then paid for the parts you had used when you returned the rest. Sort of a mini-bar type thing.
Does that one have the roll-up plastic windscreen?
No there was no screen Colin, not enough room in the box and not listed in the contents. I have never seen anything like it. I have only seen them for the big six's though.

I still have an original 2000 one from 1974 and unused, the contents are unbelievable.... Valves, springs colletts head gskt full set of hoses, water pump etc etc. Triumph really wanted you to get home again

ahhh Ive just noticed something in the photo of your original pump! It looks like its lever has been damaged and bent upwards as you can see a fold in the metal at the bottom. Dont know how its happened but possibly the pump jammed and the cam has forced the lever up which is why its angle doesnt match the new pump's....
Obviously you don't need to go to specsavers Johnny. Well spotted.

A refreshing new program, although i would prefer a look or repair of the oily bits as well A shame Quentin Wilson rears his head..... Overall it is very watchable. One thing i did like was when two people were in the open cars they weren't shouting at each other, you must have a good sound engineer or it was dubbed in after. I like it.

Struggling to get the drivers sill off . There is a door tread plate which has a right angle which covers 3 rivets securing the sill . So the tread plate has to be removed . This is again riveted BUT from the underside . I have a pit but can’t get clear access to drill out from the underside . So looks like I will have to carefully grind off the rivet tops . Is the door tread plate original and were tread plates fitted as standard ?
Paul
Update : I’m able to remove the rivets from above by using a dot punch knocking out the metal rivet . Then they can easily be drilled out
What are seats out of Paul? They look comfy.

I would expect them to pay for your time and some new (safe) studs Roger or tell them you will be going to trading standards who would only want the broken studs, as it's nut the hub that is causing it. It makes you wonder if someone has already lost a wheel and put it down to forgetting to tighten the nuts properly......
Tony.

You are not having much luck Roger That is downright dangerous...... Did Rimmers have any comment to make?

You can put a thick plastic bag on the floor Clive and to shape it even, as the plastic just peel's off leaving it nice and smooth.

Should be clockwise Jeff, if the revs go up you are going the right way.
