I have found modern Waxoyl does set hard, rock hard in fact.. I left some in a jar with a brush, brush was solid in the waxoyl although it did not stick to the glass. I would stick with the sealant Ian.

These are the correct ones Paula, but the ones at Paddocks will be ok.

I have to say i was thinking that myself Pete, but not knowing a lot about the 1600 thought they might be different? I used to have the bp6hs in my sidevalve pop.

Just take them out and clean them Paula, then give them a few minutes in the oven to warm them up before you fit them.... It does make a bit of a difference if its a bit flooded with fuel.

I had the same problem Clive, only one door card didn't survive as it went rock hard when crinkled and fell to bits. So used emulsion on the headlining which came out far better than i had hoped for

I think vinylcote might be to strong chemical wise for it as the headlining is quite thin Nick?? Great for seats though. You can get black emulsion but only use vinyl silk, the others tend to crack.
