  1. Put it on fleabay Paula, then employ someone to clean your screen with the money... sorted Tony.
  2. I have a C-Tech (free with a mag subscription) for a good few years, but i also have three Aldi ones (don't ask) And i find those better. They seem to "fully" charge the battery if you know what i mean, and will start a car or mower after a long lay up. Aldi ones are one hell of lot cheaper as well. Tony.
  3. Agree with Pete, Wellseal or blue hylomar...... All used in small quantities. Tony.
  4. Or he's very easily led Pete Tony.
  5. I bought one 30plus years ago, surprising how often it get used. The ready made one's have a sping clip that holds the pin so it can be used inverted. The one Peter made is fine for the mini job though. Tony
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI-BRAKE-AND-CLUTCH-CLEVIS-PIN-FITTING-TOOL/171557947598?hash=item27f1a688ce:g:n~MAAMXQY8JRgtSo Use one of these and replace split pin with "R" clip Tony.
  7. Could be handy to burn people off from the lights as well Tony.
  8. Result Conor, whatever it was has fell off Tony.
  9. I think you might remember the Champion spark plug cleaner/tester from years ago Pete? They worked ok then but have the quality of plugs gone that bad do you think. We used to have a mini grind stone for cleaning Lucas points as well. Tony.
  10. Hi Adrian, first job is to clamp all the flexi hoses. Good pedal it's not the m/cyl. Release one clamp at a time if pedal is ok, go to the next and so on until you find which wheel/s is causing the problem. Tony.
  11. Would that not go if the clutch was pressed Pete? I know what you mean though. Tony.
  12. https://forum.tssc.org.uk/topic/1838-161120-silly-season-probably-how-not-to-restore-a-herald/page/35/ Sorry Pat it's in this section. and in the section before. Tony.
  13. https://forum.tssc.org.uk/topic/1838-161120-silly-season-probably-how-not-to-restore-a-herald/page/38/?tab=comments#comment-96509 Karl did an excellent job of re veneering the dashboard on his Herald, photo's and "how to" above. Tony.
  14. Sorry guy's i could never own a BMW not after all i have said about them.... I would never live it down I am a firm believer in German products though, they just seem to be better made and just keep working for ever.... Apart from BMW indicator stalks of course. Now if they got that sorted...... Tony.
  15. You could try pulling a plug lead off each cylinder while the knock is there.... If it disapears it's more than likely a big end rather than a main. Tony.
  16. Sorry Nigel, i thought it par for the course if you own a german car? I own a VW so thought i might get away with it Tony.
  17. Oh dear, i have to second what Pete say's..... What a shame Tony.
  18. Unless it's a BMW of course Tony.
  19. Worth checking everything first Conor, does the noise get worse with more rev's? Also does it still have noise when you put your foot on the clutch? Tony.
  20. It is cheaper to post to Australia than to the States Peter. Ebay global shipping program is an absolute con to the buyer, why people use it is beyond me. Always ask the seller for a quote. Tony.
  21. It sounds a bit like Colin when he gets a quote for postage Can't say i blame him though..... Tony.
  22. And Brasso also works believe it or not... Tony.
