RussGT6
Hello Could anyone point me in the direction of a Triumph specialist (for GT6 MkIII) for general maintenance / servicing / upkeep in the Bromley, Kent region or thereabouts? Thanks in advance.
Wagger
Look through the manuals on this site and teach yourself. You'll save yourself loads and enjoy doing it. A nice dry garage is a good start, it won't deteriorate in there. People who specialised in classics are disappearing fast.

That’s easier when you are 18 and it’s your first car …

Some mobile mechanic love classics.
Josef
Not super close, but Southern Triumph in Bournemouth would be reachable for you.

Clive
May I suggest popping along to your local Triumph meeting. Ask around there, you will get good local advice. If you get really lucky, there will be somebody there who carries out work from home, often a better option. They may even be happy to show you the ropes, or work with you. I know somebody in east sussex, and another near bournemouth , both of whom I trust to do great work. But they are often a little booked up as it is not their main job. However, there will be many others out there...
Mjit
I've not found anyone in the area - but if there's anything you're tempted to try yourself but just lack knowledge/confidence I'm just up the road in Sydenham and happy to lend a hand in exchange for tea/biscuits...

rlubikey
Russ, it's good advice to get along to your local meet and ask around who they use. Another idea might be to look for classic-friendly MOT places as they might also do the servicing and light maintenance I think you're looking for. There used to bee a list somewhere of classic-friendly MOTs, but all I can find is this page at the seemingly defunct Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs - Historic Friendly MOT Stations courtesy of the Internet Archive. The map doesn't work but scanning down the list there are a few in or near south-east London. Cheers, Richard
