Paulrb
Past spitfire owner 30 years ago returns, had spitfire 30 years ago reg was ATU 6M (just in case it may still be running). Just selling my motorbikes now to make space for a spitfire 1500. Not to sure to buy restored one or restore myself, have all the skills and kit, not to sure about the time though. So on the look out for a car if anyone has one thinking of selling. Thanks
dougbgt6
Welcome! Sadly the DVLA site shows you car ran out of tax in October 1985. Have a look at the for sale section on here, some reasonable cars at reasonable prices.

dougbgt6
Ah, the joys of a modern garage! I'm the only one down my street with a car narrow enough to fit in the garage. Most work done on the drive or half in half out.

Colin Lindsay
Many happy returns Pete! Given the size of my new garage, I'll have to call my car 'Wellyn'.... (Although 'Lost In Space' might be more appropriate given that in the film they were attacked by giant spiders.. and so am I - they're everywhere!!) dougbgt6
Happy Birthday Pete! I once got in the GT after a long winter lay off. Turned my head to reach for the seat belt and there, hung off the mounting, was a spider's nest. About 2" diameter and crawling with tiny baby spiders. There's still a dent in the garage wall where I flung the door open to make my escape!
