Should oil be flowing out of the top with the rocker cover off if the oil pump is working properly?

At the end of your video you can see a little dribble of oil emerging from the little hole in the rear-most few rockers. Believe it or not, that is the correct amount of lubrication for the top of the engine at idle, though you should be seeing it on all eight rockers.

Have fit the new oil pressure sensor, now oil light comes on at ignition and goes off soon after.

Have fit oil pressure gauge, goes up to 50 psi within ten seconds of ignition

I got a compression tester and did a dry test, the engine had been started for a minute but did not want to do any damage so only a minute.

No 1 was 150 psi, no 2 was 144 psi, no 3 was 135 psi, no 4 was 150 psi

Repeated the test on no 3 was still 135

Repeated the test on 2 went up to 150

Grateful for any feedback.

Will now do a wet test with some oil in no 3

thats not as bad as we expected, so wheres the clatter coming from?

still  looking like a full strip down

but  you have decent oil pressure , and workable compression  3 might be a bit low but not disastrously so. maybe an indicator as the wet improved it

broken gudgeon pin maybe or cracked piston .

well you could check the valve clearances when the engines cold. Its not likely to be the problem but might show up a problem and is another great learning opportunity especially as its a routine job that needs doing from time to time....
