She was brilliant in the BBC  series The Detectorists, as the dissatisfied mother-in-law... A very highly talented actress indeed. Emma Peel was the original sex bomb, she certainly kept John Steed in order. Very sad to see her go, God Bless.

Mrs Peel was the replacement for Mrs Gale played by Honor Blackman who died in April age 94.

I saw her on stage in London in a performance of 'Follies' in the West End. She wasn't the reason I went. Acting and singing she could do but they 'amended' her role so she didn't have to dance. 

This was several life times ago when we still lived in England
