I was missing the 4 bolts to connect the puller to the puller :)

what a rummage I had to do, to find 4 bolts long enough and the right nuts to do it with. Pleased I have little draws full of odds and sods! good news is that it took no tension at all, just slipped off until I hit the key . dummmmm! or what?

Ok then. Key out and lost! Forgot it was gripped in the moles when I put them away!

Here is a pic of the trunnion/inner hub. Are the 'star' indentations around it something to worry about?

Also, the shaft. It is diss coloured but feels very smooth, right back to the sea over the needle bearing .

Does it look ok to you guys?

looks ok to me the odd marking is at a guess from some previous escapade 

the outer race is supposed to be a light /loose fit in the hsg. so it can rotate slowly in use to continually move the load point 

same as front bearing are tight in the hub but can rotate on the stub    its supposed too
