Woody2000 Posted June 22, 2021 Report Share Posted June 22, 2021 Hi probably need to change the engine mounts on my triumph 2000 mk2 as they are probably perished stupid question 2 in the front and 1 long one underneath near gearbox ??? johny Posted June 22, 2021 Report Share Posted June 22, 2021 Be careful with rubber mounts especially engine ones as they might look horrible but still be completely useable while new pattern parts can go on and fail very quickly. Try getting a lever bar in to check them or see how much the engine moves around when taking up the clutch with wheels chocked.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Peter Truman Posted June 22, 2021 Report Share Posted June 22, 2021 Ditto Johny, in the early 00's we had a run of saloon new engine mounts supplied here in Aus by our local Vic major Triumph supplier which regularly failed in under a year, think it was put down to rubbish Indian manufactured items, don't know if similar products went west too.
