  1. I had similar with my Mk2 Vitesse . Turned out that the rotor arm was catching the Accuspark electronic unit . Changed to the correct red rotor arm and problem fixed . Have you tried traditional points to see if this cures your problem ? Paul
  2. That’s my experience as well , purchased from the club shop . Fitted with standard spacer but left off the shim spacer . Mk2 Vitesse Paul
  3. Don’t have that issue with my D box . The initial problem I had a week after the box was done was I couldn’t get into 4th gear so had to use 3 + overdrive . They sorted the issue but fobbed me off with the reason other than it wouldn’t happen again . I didn’t push them as it was the week Clive died. Paul
  4. Hi Pete is it a gear box / od out to sort ? Paul
  5. Advice please , my Vitesse od gearbox was rebuilt by Manvers Triumph 4 years ago. The company is no longer in business as Clive Manvers has died Works as it should BUT don’t go from 3rd to 2nd anything above 20mph unless you want to hear a crunch. Would double de clutching help ? what’s the reasoning behind ? Paul
  6. New Sills ready for trial fit The holes don’t line up so added masking tape to protect new paint and show where the holes in the body shell should be. The front and rear don’t line up . The rear shows a step The front is way out and only one securing point available . Previous sill had filler added everywhere to “hide” the gaps . Are these gaps normal ? New sills are NOS with the 4 securing straps having elongated securing holes . The previous ones were not Paul
  7. Found the original post on Herald seat conversion from 2015 Paul
  8. Both Pete’s and mine are saloons , the Mgf seat bases need minor surgery and sit on 2 rails which then fit into the existing holes . Easy fit in a day Paul
  9. It’s been reduced , it’s now only £8,250,000 just saved you some pennies Paul
  10. I fitted Mgf seats , highly recommended , I do have fitting instructions if needed plus you can add heated seat elements Paul
  11. Can EP 80 / 90 be mixed with EP 90 ? How often should gearbox and overdrive oil be changed ? Thanks Paul
  12. The gap on the drivers side is filled with silicone . Need to remove and try to reduce the gap. The alloy sill cover on the passenger side . Is this an aftermarket product or a standard fitting ?
  13. Hi Pete I think you are correct it’s certainly 2 Layers on both sides . Were sill repair sections available ? Paul
  14. Hi Pete just checked the passenger side and the gap is an overlap and the alloy plate is still in place . I know why the cosmetic filler was done 😱The following pics are the passenger side showing a normal step Paul
  15. Hi, new sills nearly ready for fitting on my Vitesse. Spraying done , a few blemish corrections and buffing before polishing . Turned my attention to cleaning up the drivers side step which had been smothered with filler . The metal is sound so guess it was cosmetic . There is now a clear step between the body shell and the the bulkhead . Previously this was filled and smoothed . Is the step normal ? First pic shows the step and second pic shows the new protector which will be fitted . Previously there was an hammered alloy cover which is much longer than the new one and extended the full length of the door opening . Not sure if this was original or a diy job Paul

  17. This is the correct reference for door seals for the Herald / Vitesse https://coh-baines.co.uk/product/dx-73-composite-self-grip-type-draught-excluder/ You will need to order 8 metres Paul
  18. Thread Drift to main topic 😋 Use a Herald / Vitesse windscreen wiper to clean the shower . Great for curved panels . Modern wiper blades wont open enough to take on the curve Paul
  19. Agree high postage costs and lack of information and no photos put me off Paul
  20. Another vote for COB . I’ve now got the correct door seals for my Vitesse Paul
